Help

The website has a couple of hierarchies which help keep it organized, but they may also be slightly confusing. In particular, there is a category for the image galleries so that all the images for each house are together; but there is a also a "book" for each house so that all the links to pictures appear on the same page as well as the rate sheet. That's just the way it works, so you just have to learn it.

You assign the category to each picture when you create it. Click on Create Content->image. You will then see a pull-down menu. In this case we have selected "Ocean Front Ground Floor" for the image's gallery:

After you have typed the title and descriptive text, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom. You will now see how the page will appear to visitors. Make sure it's correct, then we will add this page to the book with the same name, "Ocean Front." Click on the "Outline" tab (see below). You will then see a pull-down menu for the book outline:

By assigning this page to the outline, it will now appear on the "Ocean Front" page.

The order that the pictures appear in the gallery is determined by when the image was first created on the site. But you can easily control the order in which the pictures appear on the book page, which is probably more important. Click on "Administer->Content" then click on the "Books" tab. You will see the Books outline edit page:

Now, for example, let's take a look at the "Cape Cod Top" book. Click on "Outline" and you will see all the pages, their hierarchy and order:

Notice the "Weight" pull-down menu beside each item. Changing the "weight" of a page changes where it appears in the list; the lighter pages float to the top, while the heavier ones sink to the bottom. So let's put the living areas and kitchen on top, then the bedrooms, and finally the rate sheet:

Now when I save the page, the pages are rearranged and the weights are all reset to zero. This makes it very easy to fix mistakes:

That's all there is to it! Now you're dangerous, especially if you understand what's going on.
